My 1959 Barbie in a red velvet White Christmas Cape and gown.
My goal was to capture a picture for a Christmas Card.
barbieoldnewgreenredo |
My first efforts with flash, ugh!
barbieoldnewgreenredo |
Washed out because of flash, Again, too harsh!
barbieoldnewgreenredo |
Even doctored in edit, still not right!
barbieoldnewgreenredo |
I threw a set of frosted lights in front of my scene.....and retook my pictures without the flash.
barbieoldnewgreenredo |
Suddenly the lighting was perfect without the flash.
barbieoldnewgreenredo |
An evening in the snow...mysteriously enchanting.
barbieoldnewgreenredo |
It was hard to choose.

Barbie: Maybe a closeup----Yes.....this is it!!

This was brightened for printing!
I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas...
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
Backdrop is a matte silver wrapping paper with branches and berries.
Trees are Lemax with my own battery lights,
Branch trees are from Michaels, frosted stems, separated and potted, with
battery lights.

What an absolutely enchanting post! I adore Barbie and it is such fun seeing a classic doll enjoying Christmas. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, she is special to me and apparently many others, still!

Thanks so much Amber. The Barbie thing started with my Grand who is now 5. I have a lot of Barbie post on my https://oldnewgreenredoblog.blogspot.com blog also---I finally separated them, but the vintage cross over still applies. We built a house for the Grand and that started it all!
DeleteOh, it's so cute Sandi! Could you please mail me one next year? :) We have had no snow to speak of, but it snowed Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Perfect!! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
