Getting Ready for Christmas at Vickie's Vintage

AD-Free Blog

Vickie's has been closed since Halloween, and the store has been revamped, and cleaned. The girls have been working hard to deliver a store ready for the **HOLIDAYS!**

Trish from the Garden Center: Hi, Vickie! I just popped in to say I won't have the Tree Lot open until next Saturday. I'm taking your urn home today to decorate, did you need anything else done for the holiday?

Vickie: I know it's been so hectic, I forgot about the outside. We are going pretty minimal here this year, with the threat of a possible total shutdown. We took the last two weeks to get the entire inventory ready to put up online.

Trish: I wish you could sell fresh trees on line, but, we have a lot of orders online for garlands and wreaths and for pickup.

Vickie: Maybe you could set aside something pretty for above the door, you are the expert and I definitely loved what you did last year. How about something wintery instead of Christmas, so we can leave it up through January?

Vickie:I think we can open by Friday, if that works for you.

Trish: No problem, I have to stop by and water the greenhouse, and we will be delivering all week. I just moved the last items out today. Jason is going to be here a lot, as I have so many design orders for my accounts. Yours will be here by Wednesday. And, Keep going the shop looks great! I have to go put up the fence and take two loads home today!

Zoe: Bye, Trish! Vickie, I'm almost done up here, I'll just clean all the surfaces.

oldnewgreenredo

Zoe: Lots of railings, and knobs, and corners that people touch. I hope the selections we chose for up here work. We have lots of short dresses for people staying at home?

oldnewgreenredo

Zoe: We chose a few long dresses and of course a few wedding dresses, though that has been a struggle this year.

oldnewgreenredo

Zoe: We have a great selection of fancy hose, from a local designer. And LOTS of
short dresses and accessories. I love that green top...so pretty and classy!

Vickie: I'm sure glad to see the red dress there instead of that horrid skull costume.
Much cheerier. (chuckle)

Vickie: You've done a great job curating the upstairs Zoe. And, do you have everything ready to go live online?

oldnewgreenredo

Zoe: Sure do, I have fourteen clients ready to schedule appointments as soon as we decide to open.

Vickie: Go ahead and schedule for Thursday night and Friday, Saturday, early morning. I'm sure we will have the last of the photos taken by then.

Carly: I have all the short boots in the shoe display now. We just need signage, and I confess I need to tag most of them, too.

Vickie: Well, it definitely looks great! Can you be ready for Thursday?

Carly: Sure!

oldnewgreenredo

Carly: This rack is perfect for the tall boots and all the purses...excellent in fact!

oldnewgreenredo

Vickie: Well, It is time to set up the Carousel. That will take the rest of the day!

oldnewgreenredo

Carly: I can help as soon as I finish the accessories!

A few hours later!

Christmas Dresses and Christmas Sweaters from local Artisans help to fill the carousel.

Can't forget Winter jackets, for our snowy winters here in Chicagoland.

oldnewgreenredo

Vickie: I think this looks great, I hope all these sweaters appeal to all the stay at home parties.  Are we done, I think a few more decorations and update the websites and we will be good to go!

oldnewgreenredo

Carly: Now, if I could get these scarves to just stay up here. Are there anymore of those white deer for above these racks?

There always seems to be more things to do!

What are your dolls preparing
 for the holidays?
