    1. Hi, Lynn, thanks. Yes being closer would be fun---just think of the parties the dolls could have together! LOL.

  2. Well Sandy, this is certainly a lot of fun. I had a blast during my high school days. That's where I initially discovered fashion. Your store is a LOT of fun and reminds me of a time when brick and mortar stores were all the rage. I still do not understand a generation that wants to sit at a computer and order stuff online. Most of the fun is sifting through all the racks of clothes, trying on different looks. Even if you don't buy anything, the outing at a store, for me, is such a great distration!

    1. Ah...April...I was never a fashion icon...and I didn't have the $$$ for the clothes the cool girls wore. I remember helping a fabric shop owner clean his basement, and trading work for a length of merino wool for a vest and Junior House wool Fabric (Yellow watch plaid) for a skirt I sewed myself. I thought I was hot stuff. Luckily I made 6 outfits from the different fabrics the owner let me take for working three days cleaning and organizing his basement, bargain room. He bought a lot of bolt ends from design houses (back when things were still made in the states) Jr. House was in Milwaukee I think. My college years were in the art and psych department, but 3/4 of the gals on my floor were in fashion merchandising or Home Ec. I watched and learned tailoring and details. I'm going to start sewing again for my granddaughter as she is so 'narrow' and tall...nothing really fits her properly! Hugs, and thanks so much for the visit!

  3. What a hoot Sandi! I want to visit Vickie's Vintage Boutique! I have never seen an earring and bangle collection quite like it. Those Barbies look far too cool for school, especially with that 1983 circa Madonna fish net vest. My girls would absolutely trash that place... and that is why children should not be allowed to play with dolls ;) (They have a lot of nude dolls and missing shoes :0) This post really brought a smile to my face. 1. Thanks so much for visiting! LOL...on your 'children' comment. I was lucky I was an only child and none of my dolls were 'trashed'. Thanks so much for visiting! And I hope you come back, Sandi

  5. Thanks so much, Linda...Every once in awhile I find some real goodies. I used to like the Bratz and Mhigh bags I would find mixed in with Barbie stuff at thrift stores, and now nothing. Hugs, glad yo enjoyed my set-up! Hugs, Sandi
