SL to R Stacey,Skipper, (sisters) Chelsea (cousin)

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Stacey: Cousin, did you read all those books this summer.
Chelsea: Yep! Almost done with the 8th grade reading list. That way I will be ahead when I have too much other schoolwork. Are you excited about going back to school? It seems like forever ago.
Skipper: We're starting 10th grade, and I'm a little bit nervous, it is so big compared to Middle School.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Chelsea:Will you still walk with me now that you are High Schoolers.
Stacey: Sure we will, if you stay 10 steps back...LOL.

In the side yard, Danny is sweet talking Belle!
Danny: How about we take a moonlight swim on the beach tonight!
Belle: Maybe a walk in the park, the Lake has wave and undertow warnings, not like we can go in.
Danny: Oh, didn't know. The park would be nice, there is supposed to be music tonight, we can take a blanket and....

Robert (R) and Jamie (L) discuss the Sox last minute flare of hope.
From the side yard, chanting from the guys....Meat! Meat! Meat!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Jamie: Give it a rest, I'm doin' the best I can(in his Keanu Reeves whine).

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Jamie: If this darn dog would quit licking my toes and begging for food!
Foofie: (He calls this food..scraps of cheese????)

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Sandi and Barbie(sitting at the top)
Sandi: If I wasn't so tired I could eat two of those hotdogs.
Barbie: I'm waiting for a burger with cheese.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Chris (R): So it was a great wedding, when are you two going to make it legal!
Rory (L): Maybe when we can get away to Maryland for Nemo to meet my folks.
Nemo: Yea, my schedule is pretty full now with school sports programs starting back up.
Chris: I know we haven't seen our parents either. Traveling is a nightmare.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Conversations are lively and the burgers are slow to cook!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Todd: Well Dear, we have to pack up and head for home tomorrow.
Monnie: I will miss everyone ...look how happy Richelle looks.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Richelle: Mom's talking about us again, I can tell.
Ryan: Well, they are going home tomorrow...so I can have you all to myself, again.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Todd: Say, Son, when are you two going to come up north, Muskie will be biting soon.
Richelle: Daddy! We just got back from a vacation...we have work again, now.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Lily: Well lovely people, I have to be flying out now. It's been a great week, thank you all for your hospitality. And, Richelle and Ryan have a good life. I'll stop in to see you when I hold over in Chicago.

Everyone: Bye, Lily!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Jamie: Two minutes... on the cheese and first wave of burgers are done!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Nemo: I don't have to hear it twice!
Rory: Well, don't dump me on the ground.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Jeffrey: So what do you want a burger or hotdog?
Carly: Both, I'm starving!!!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Ryan: What do you wish my bride?
Richelle: (whispers) I'm wishing we can be alone again, soon! And, when are we going to tell them all about our new place?
Ryan; When the contracts are signed, lots can go wrong-we have to wait.

Foofie: (When is this human going to feed me some MEAT! Woof! wooof! )

    1. Shelbee, Total removal from reality...lol. I do try and make my post PG for kids too. The story of the HFIM house is sort of reality, a bunch of people trying to live together because of college debt and starting careers in a challenging time. I just hope we don't go into shut-down again as I plot stories in real time with real weather/covid/news/seasons. So glad you are enjoying! Sandi

  3. I always enjoy your story lines. I love Barbies and am so glad I never started collecting them as I covet every single one! Still have my (only) blond bubble cut Barbie from the early 60's!

    1. I have lots of barbies, 90% are thrift store wonders, though..I get them home and wonder who they are. ...LOL. I did add AA barbies because in the suburbs you don't see many interesting African American dolls, and the stories are set in near N.Side Chicago--which is very diverse. Thanks for visiting, and I really would like to find a bubblecut...grins! Sandi

  4. OMG that Poodle cracked me up, the expression is Priceless! *LMAOROTF* And, I spied what looks like a Liddle Kiddle Doll in one scene, with the Toys? I bought back some of my Childhood by Sourcing some Liddle Kiddles and their Playhouse. I probably have more of them now than I could as a Child since my Family weren't able to afford a lot of the Toys, so if we got just a sampling of the Popular ones we felt indulged. Now kids have so much they don't appreciate them as much I think. I also Sourced most at Chazzas, but a few of the Liddle Kiddles were from an Antique Mall Vendor in our Mall who Specialized in Liddle Kiddles, which you hardly ever see, so I do wonder if she was downsizing her own Collection? I like the Ethnic Dolls you find, they were always harder to Source. I remember the first Native American Doll I ever had I Cherished, since my Dad was Native American. I should have kept it, don't know what happened to it, but I might have given it to one of my Younger Cousins on the Rez once I outgrew it? It was a Papoose with it's Cradleboard that I got in the 1960's and was about a 15" Doll, I've never seen one since, so it might have been Rare?

    1. AW...I'm sure your doll is out there somewhere. I rarely pay retail for anything, almost everything is secondhand and thrift store. I have bought new dolls for their poseable bodies...but that has to stop...LOL. Hugs, and I drool when you post smalls...it's hard to find somethings here. Hugs, Sandi
