Good Afternoon! This is Vickie from Vickie's Vintage, here in Barbie's beautiful Fall backyard to do a mini Fall Fashion Preview.

First, I want to thank all our volunteer models and my staff for putting this all together for Fall 24. Let's get started.

Not everything is old at Vickie's, sometimes we have reproduction or are a throwback to some favorite fashion period. Our first three fashions are just that.
Here is Millicent wearing a Tressy delicious vintage 1960's red jersey dress. She's carrying a new Sparkles purse, and wearing an 80's felt hat. Perfect for this in between weather here in Chicagoland.

Welcome Barbara Millicent Roberts, CEO of BMR enterprises, responsible for so many land projects here on the north side of Chicagoland. Barbara has had a long career modeling, but now is the Grand Dame of our local doll world.

Barbara wears a reproduction outfit of hot pants overalls in delicious red corduroy, with a striped turtleneck, black leggings, boots and a wonderful satchel. Perfect outfit for our Chicagoland wind and chill, and still so in fashion.

Now this is a blast from the past---Richelle models an an original Courrege's patent leather coat, lined in blue which matches her new Mondrian inspired dress. Add those classic Jackie O glasses, white boots and she is IN now, just as this was all IN in the 1960's 70's.

Well that was a blast from the past, and how about Fall 2024.

Almost anything goes in Fashion today. Cloe models one of the popular chiffon skirts making it fit into Fall when paired with a vintage mulberry turtleneck. Add a darling 'kitty' bag in leather and bright peach toeless boots, perfect for sunny day strolling, shopping, or work.
Next is Genevieve, who is stepping back into the 80's with these great flared pants in darker pink and purple tones, great for Fall. She's paired it with a embroidered top and a cordovan backpack bag.

Those stripes are great and the grayed boots work well to keep the emphasis on the mulberry colors.

Denise visits the early 80's with classic flared striped pants, a 2000's sheer lace ruffled top.

Also adding a classic faux suede jacket in a nice length for those chilly days, add brown boots and a rusty leather bag with tooling which just matches her wonderful hair.

Denise was also a model and now curates Fashion photos and is an editor at a fashion magazine and podcast here in Chicago. Thanks, Denise.

And there is more. Vickie's is also a great place to shop for all ages and all sizes. Our next model is Ella. An accomplished vocalist, Ella recently taped a PBS special.

Today she is dressed for the outdoors in a recent Super Star zippered jacket which fits her curvy frame perfectly. She's paired it with plum pants, a black shell and black boots. You look FAB, Ella.
Next is Midge in a casual current fashion with some blow-back to the 70's POP ART. Her graphic tee dress can be casual with leggings, or dressed with jewelry and bare legs in sky-high heels. Belt it or not...this is a fun dress for many sizes. We have these in multiple colors and patterns.

Melanie is a curvy redhead and looks fabulous in her Twiggy Tee...such a great graphic and the blue is a great surprise with Pink Twiggy. Iconic 60's, this modern oversize tee is great for everything you might want to do. Melanie is a mom with two girls which keep her busy and she works from home, too.

Our last trio of gals represent dressing for careers. Gone are the days of the matchy-matchy suits and boring shirts.

Teresa is a broadcaster for the local news channel 7 and is always on the go, day and night. Here she uses a yellow tee to inspire Fall, but works with separates in her favorite colors. She carries a large case for all her research material, makeup for on the go, even a pair of slacks to match. The Chiffon skirt can go night or day, Teresa is ready for anything.

Carly is our assistant manager at Vickie's Vintage. She manages the phones, desk and most of our online services, as well as keeping track of shipments. She chose a pencil skirt and a newer graphic tee in grays. Paired with boots, she is ready to deal with anything she might have to do at Vickie's Vintage.

Here's Barbie, whose wonderful backyard we are staging this Fashion Show. Barbie is still a model, working in the Chicago area and currently working on a book on the Chicago Modeling Industry.

Barbie: I'm wearing a plaid pencil skirt and matching top. Plaids are my favorite for Fall. I love the shrug sweater jacket which dresses this up for business meetings and still is warm and comfortable. I have to have a large bag to carry photos and printed materials and of course matching boots.

Trish: Your welcome, well, Chicagoland is still so green we needed to add some color behind the fence line. Camilla, my trusty assistant is responsible for doing the plantings....a little Fall color goes a long way.
