Early in the morning Vickie and Trish worked out plans for opening their businesses the coming weekend, after holiday decorating and stocking.

They are both worried the city may shut completely shut down completely again.

Vickie: Thanks Trish, Wednesday will be fine for the outside decorations. I'l put up my sign out, on the way home tonight. You can move it to where ever it works when you add the decorations.

(Later that night after working all day,
the girls get ready to leave.)

Zoe: How does the sign look?

Vickie: Fine for now.  We can adjust it, when Trish finishes the seasonal decor.

Vickie: Goodness, Trish's been as busy as we have. Wow look at all the colored trees.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Carly: Your sign looks good, you are opening the same day we do!
Trish: Yes, we got a lot done today, only need to bring in the rest of the trees, some ornaments and finish the greenhouse for the holidays.

Carly: Are the cactus okay in there?

Trish: Sure, the heater keeps above freezing, besides they are pretty hardy. I'll be taking a bunch back to the farm after Thanksgiving. And bring in winter plants and some arrangements.

Vickie: The garden center sure looks great.

Vickie: I love the colored trees, Trish.

Trish: We will bring in more naturals on the next truck.
I ordered a lot of table top trees, thinking people might not go 'whole hog' this year. But we ordered lots of traditional decor with themes for kids.

Trish:And, I did get most of the outdoor decor up. Still haven't found the overhead lights. I hope Jason has them packed on the next truck.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Trish: I only got about half the wreaths up. I have so many orders, our website is really popping. You were right about that, Vickie.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Zoe: I can't wait until you open, I need to send my mom a package soon, and she would love one of those little cottages.

Trish: We have lots of back-stock, let me know which cottage and I'll wrap it up for you, Zoe.

Zoe: Thanks, my mom will be thrilled, and I have to get it off to Canada soon.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Trish: Tomorrow, we will fill up the tree lot! I hope the weather holds.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Trish: Long as you are all here, how about helping me with Vickie's pot, please.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Vickie: Bubble, bubble, boil and trouble...(giggle).

Carly: It's really heavy...really very heavy!

Trish: Come on ladies, we can do it!

    1. Hi, April...I actually made terra cotta gingerbread houses in the 1970-90's and used lots of minis...which of course are vintage now. One of the miracles of cleaning the basement last Spring, finding old cache's of stuff! Hugs, thanks for stopping by! Sandi
