Sindy's Bakery, February 21, 2021

Sindy: I think I have a strawberry tart in the back, anything else sir?

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Gerard: Just my order, oh, and a half dozen of your raspberry kringle pieces.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Gerry: I hope this does the trick, I'm a week late.

Sindy: That's Mrs. Devers favorite, I'm sure they will. Goodnight, Mr. Puckham.

Gerry heads for the elevator and up to the second floor.
***

Gerry: Bonsoir Madame and Mademoiselles!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Gerry: I just got back from Memphis, drove all night the weather was awful, but I wanted to stop by and give my regards. And, bearing gifts and good news!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Ella: Well, look what the cat dragged in---a week late. I hope that bakery isn't as old as that candy.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Gerry:Flowers for Miss Devers, bakery for Madame Ella, and chocolates for Miss Emilie. You all of course were in my thoughts for Valentine's Day.

Callie/Colette: SO? How did the trip go, did you get my booking date set up?

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Ella: Sit your fine butt down, Gerry, and have a glass of wine with me. These girls won't let me pop another bottle open. Sure is nothing else to do, here in Covid town.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Gerry: No thank you...I'm just here for a quick visit. Callie, they want a new song added. We can work on it  down at the studio tomorrow, if you like?

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Callie: I don't have any other songs ready, now.

Gerry: I know, but I have their new track in my bag, you can hear it tomorrow. It's a great track for you, Callie. This may be the break we need before we release your own music.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Ella: Gerry Puckham you know I can't pass up on strawberries. (She mumbles sucking on a strawberry.)

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Gerry: Sleep on it, Callie.  Speaking of which I need some shut eye...now. G'night Mrs. Devers, Emilie.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Emilie: Merci Beaucoup, Gerry and...

barbieoldnewgreenredo

I hope you sleep well, too.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Gerry: How about tomorrow at noon, if that is convenient, Callie?

(Callie turns the flowers round and round)

Thank you for the flowers, I  have this other song I'm working on. I will bring that, and we will send them both, do you understand?

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Gerry: What ever you want to do, but this may be our big chance. Au revoir, and bonne nuit mes bonbons.

(Emilie giggles at 'goodnight my sweets'.)

(Ella pours herself another glass of wine)

(Callie hums to herself and scratches away at her score.)

Callie: I'll see you tomorrow, Gerry.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

(Down stairs)
Gerry: Now, if I can convince Callie to do this the way THEY want to do it, we will be in! In with a big label, and the big money.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Ella: Well, honey, what do you have ready to show HIS big label?  Right now, I'm going to get some plates for this bakery. Anyone else want strawberry tart, oooh, and some gooey kringle?

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Callie: Sure, Mama, and kringle, maybe a little wine, too, and celebrate.
(Humming along and nodding her head to music on paper and in her head).

Thanks for viewing and feel free to ask me any questions or inquiries, and I will get back to you.

  1. I wonder what will happen, I hope Callie's own song will be liked! Gerry does have a point too, but Callie's creativity needs to get a chance as well. Hopefully they can find a solution somewhere in the middle. Great story, I enjoyed the conversations very much. :) Hugs!

    1. I'll get back to the story tomorrow...was pulled away for a week with a friend's home disaster...and having 3 extra inhabitants in the house, stopped the story. Hugs, thanks for watching! Sandi

    1. Hi Dawn, the little Valentine was actually a new- I received with a tux in a raffle on a doll site. It even opens...some of the smalls are too cool. Lady in Lavender is actually a new Barbie of the Inspiring Women series, an Ella Fitzgerald...and she is pretty audacious in my stories and a singer! Thanks for stopping by, Sandi
