Gerry: I hope this does the trick, I'm a week late.
Sindy: That's Mrs. Devers favorite, I'm sure they will. Goodnight, Mr. Puckham.
Gerry heads for the elevator and up to the second floor.

Gerry: I just got back from Memphis, drove all night the weather was awful, but I wanted to stop by and give my regards. And, bearing gifts and good news!

Ella: Well, look what the cat dragged in---a week late. I hope that bakery isn't as old as that candy.

Gerry:Flowers for Miss Devers, bakery for Madame Ella, and chocolates for Miss Emilie. You all of course were in my thoughts for Valentine's Day.
Callie/Colette: SO? How did the trip go, did you get my booking date set up?

Ella: Sit your fine butt down, Gerry, and have a glass of wine with me. These girls won't let me pop another bottle open. Sure is nothing else to do, here in Covid town.

Gerry: No thank you...I'm just here for a quick visit. Callie, they want a new song added. We can work on it down at the studio tomorrow, if you like?

Callie: I don't have any other songs ready, now.
Gerry: I know, but I have their new track in my bag, you can hear it tomorrow. It's a great track for you, Callie. This may be the break we need before we release your own music.

Ella: Gerry Puckham you know I can't pass up on strawberries. (She mumbles sucking on a strawberry.)

Gerry: Sleep on it, Callie. Speaking of which I need some shut eye...now. G'night Mrs. Devers, Emilie.

Thank you for the flowers, I have this other song I'm working on. I will bring that, and we will send them both, do you understand?

(Emilie giggles at 'goodnight my sweets'.)
(Ella pours herself another glass of wine)
(Callie hums to herself and scratches away at her score.)
Callie: I'll see you tomorrow, Gerry.

Gerry: Now, if I can convince Callie to do this the way THEY want to do it, we will be in! In with a big label, and the big money.

Ella: Well, honey, what do you have ready to show HIS big label? Right now, I'm going to get some plates for this bakery. Anyone else want strawberry tart, oooh, and some gooey kringle?

Callie: Sure, Mama, and kringle, maybe a little wine, too, and celebrate.
(Humming along and nodding her head to music on paper and in her head).

ReplyDeleteHi Dawn, the little Valentine was actually a new- I received with a tux in a raffle on a doll site. It even opens...some of the smalls are too cool. Lady in Lavender is actually a new Barbie of the Inspiring Women series, an Ella Fitzgerald...and she is pretty audacious in my stories and a singer! Thanks for stopping by, Sandi
