BARBIEOLDNEWGREENREDO

Woot! Doll Vintage finds and 2 new guys!

Ad-Free Blog
Hi, there! I finally hit a couple of thrift stores in a new area and found lots of goodies, plus my friend just moved, and little stashes she found over the last year reappeared. Bonanza!

The smalls here are from her---never turn down dishes, glasses, and love the andirons. The Blue chair will get used somewhere, but I will add legs below cause they are just too low!

I bought some goodie bags of clothes---and these Kelly and Tommy, which is a plus.

One of the bags had this little box of very vintage baby items. Everything looks to be mattel, I think. Love the school ox and composition book that opens.

A few kitchen items, which I appreciate, as I will have so many kitchens eventually and my gang does like to eat...strange box of fries?

A rabbit hutch? and a vintage doll bed for Foofie or the other mutts in the HFIM house.

A sweet doily, etc...and the etch-sketch works...!

I have been on a clothes drought. I bought five bags, and wow...there are some pieces in here. Only a few were a bit soiled. Couple things need new snaps, easy fix.

With so many dolls in stories, I need many changes, lots of everyday clothes.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Ken suit--always appreciated, drum major costume, a few pants and a bunch of skater outfits??? Pleathor pants that are starting to melt...though they look good.

I'm actually happy with the everyday clothes there were 5 white tops of various styles, which will help! A few Fashion Fever and Fashion Avenue pieces in here, I wish I had bought all the bags now.

Also found the PERFECT wicker pieces, with no cushions, but easy fix.
I ordered two articulated dolls, the new Jack the Lamplighter (Lin-Manuel Miranda) who is absolutely adorable. He has so much character and I love his smile, clothes and shoes. He seems to be a bit slighter...I won't know until I get his outfit off.

and a wheel chair Ken to replace the play-line basic blonde Ken that I made the mannikin from. He is a bit different...just looks like he has been on vacation and a has some more hair-so he will be Kevin in the HFIM house and is welcomed.
The single chair is missing it's ottoman, but who knows that piece may show up some day! The articulated KEN drought might be over, he is a bit tan, so I will match his body to heads and maybe order a few more and then have a wheel chair sale.

Clearly the BMR59 Pony tail guy's body matches no one. I do like him with a hair cut!

Nor does this gal. Although she is growing on me, now.

What goodies have you found or ordered???

Thanks for viewing and feel free to ask me any questions or inquiries, and I will get back to you.

  1. Score! Chuckled and fondly remembered playing with etch-a-sketch. Love the suit with red tie, any solid color (kinda normal looking?) shirt is always welcome. And I love the lamp lighter guy's eyes, like you say, he has character-enjoy! Haven't been to my thrift in a few weeks... Maybe Saturday:@)

    1. Hi Lynn. The etch-sketch is a adorable...World Market carries those 'World's smallest' toys which are perfect for dolls but they are at least $8.00 dollars a piece, so I have held back! Yep normal is definitely wonderful. The three gowns are higher end, I will have to research what they belonged to..so that was actually a plus-and not princess gowns, unless the one is from Hunchback of Notre Dame...still looking. Yes, love Jack a real plus--I really need some older looking dolls. Thanks for looking--hope you can get out...This was a treat trip since we had been dealing with busted sewer pipes in concrete in my friends (2 weeks in) new home.Barely had unpacked when everything had to be moved out again...what a mess!

  3. What great finds. I think the etch a sketch was a key chain released many years ago. I still have one on my key chains.

    1. ahhhhh, thanks for the tip---I know that they are making the World's smallest toys, bbut I haven't seen one in real life to compare it to. I thought this one looked older than that anyway, thanks for the tip!!!

    1. It was a haul, the silverware was all smeared with the wax sticky stuff, the little doll bed was perfect for Foofie...lol, and she already claimed it! Thanks for stopping by! (that dark blue gown is quite nice, I will do some closeup with it...actually fits well, and gorgeous fabric!)

  7. As you can see I'm catching up on Blog Posts... and tho' I don't Collect Dollhouse Furnishings, I Scored some Vintage 1960 Era Dollhouse Kitchen Furnishings with the Cupboards filled with little Treasures and couldn't bring myself to Sell it off at the Antique Mall! It was all so intricate and custom looking, must have been spendy when it was new... or perhaps even not a toy and was some Display for real Kitchen Retro Remodel Salesman Smalls? I just don't know. You Scored well... and I know whenever I do find great Smalls for Dollhouses or the Furnishings, they always Sell very well to both Children and Adult Collectors.
