Vickie's has a new Shipment of Shoes!

It's Sunday at Vickie's and the girls are working on a huge shipment of shoes...

Carly: That looks pretty good---make sure you don't get the Covid warnings in the photo, Zoe.
barbieoldnewgreenredo

Zoe: Shhh, Canadian genie at work.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Vicky: It looks great, try a straight on shot and don't use the flash.  We have so many to do, yet!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Zoe: That looks better and no Covid signs. Sending it to you now, Vickie.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Vicky: Carly just keep bringing me the boxes so I can enter the information for the website, as we take the photos. We won't post these until after the swimsuit sale.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Carly: How about these for Fall...I love all of these.
Zoe: The colors are making me hungry, oranges, caramel, peaches, latte, French vanilla ice cream and love those gray boots. You never see gray boots.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Carly: Wait until you see these. I hope we have a few more in my size.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Zoe: Those are really cute, now knees apart a bit more, so the shelf shows.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Carly: I adore these and they are even comfortable.

Zoe: Got the shot...next!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Carly: If you are done with boxes, I'll stack them.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Vickie: Sure and I can keep going on this stack.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Carly: How many of these jewelry displays did you order, Vickie?
Vickie: A dozen, in different color assortments. Pretty Cool, I hope they sell.
Carly: The bracelets are in great colors. They will!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Carly: Let's face it, you have the best prices on the northside...oh, love these cute boxes.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Carly: Decorator boxes...
Zoe: I'm not taking photos of boxes, Carly. Can you please pick shoes out for the next set-up!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Carly: How about this for a hot shot,...LOVE the purple ones, but they are too big for me.
Zoe: What size are they?
Carly: A nine wide.
Zoe: I think Ella, Colette's mom would love them. I'll send her an email tomorrow.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Carly: Have to love classic black and these fit really well.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Zoe: Tilt your right foot up straighter.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Carly: We can display the boxes like this with the shoe in front at least the shorter shoes.

Zoe: Great shot Carly---hold that pose and stop talking.

Vickie: Pizza's here, I'm starving!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Thanks Ladies, here's to a great team.  Once we get the sandals and swimsuit sale done, we can work on Fall....

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Boots are coming next week.
(Collective Groan.....)
Zoe: It's 90 degrees today!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Vicky: We don't have to put them out, but we'll photo for the website...in case we shut-down again.
Zoe: That's a really a lot of shoes and boxes to put away.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Zoe: Love the boxes and the new shelf, but where are we going to put purses now.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Vicky: Eat some more pizza...I have another plan for you both this week!

(there will always be MORE to do and see at Vickie's.)

Props and Details
Used clear shoe shelf, re-moveable shelves found at a thrift store. I have no idea what it was supposed to be used for, but a steal at $1.99.

Boxes: made by me, I adjusted the sizes from printables free on the internet.
Tip:Thinner printed card stock makes really nice boxes, with double-stick tape. Embossed or thick card stock--doesn't.
I cut tissue paper squares for the insides. Have fun with this. I didn't have any small scale prints, but I will look for some.

Shoes: Many from the last thrift finds, a few dollar store shoes-some were really cute.

Zoe just got a new articulated body, Carly is a Nikki vintage doll, and Vickie-from the same time. Clothes are all mismatched vintage, old, and new Mattel, except for Carly's DollarStore top.

I had a great time making boxes this week and going through 4 seaons of Game of Thrones...yikes. That's what I do when it is too hot outside, watch TV and make stuff!

    1. 2021 has been very good-=--up until last two weeks of July. Had two sales today..? August is usually slower, we will see. I'm holding back adding things until September. Yes, the bracelets do fit, nicely and I'll be posting some eventually. Thanks for stopping by. Sandi

  2. OMG, a doll story after my own heart!!! I'm really impressed by your shoe shop and especially by all of those tiny little shoe boxes you must have made all by yourself. And yes, those piles of shoes do add up when you have a doll collection. My dolls have 280 pairs of footwear!!!! Big hugs April

    1. Hi, April. Well, my shoe quality is no where near yours. I have so many now, they can finally all have a choice. Used to be I couldn't dress all the dolls with shoes. I swear everyone could wear an ugly pink dress also. Odd thing, is since I'm working with Mattel, and a couple of others, is the different sized feet which is a pain...not too many choices for the Curvy dolls, clothes too. I will have to sew soon, also---curvies are fighting over the clothes that do fit. Ha! Have you ever designed for that shape doll? Would love to see a runway of decent curvy fashions! Hugs, Sandi

  3. Now, after seeing your Shoe Post I realize why even when I gather up orphaned Doll Shoes and Sell them cheaply in a Bagged Lot, they always Sell quickly. I hadn't even thought about those who make the fabulous Doll Dioramas using the orphaned Shoes for Shoe Displays, which is Brilliant to re-purpose the Shoes where one has gone missing, which always happens when Kids have tiny objects. *LOL* I did keep Princess T's Tiny Foods, just for Fun because I found them to be Amazing, the Woodzeez Line of Toys had the best Miniature Foods with their Stores they Sold to go with the little Creature Line.

    1. I never thought of using spares---LOL. Those boxes are all full of pairs, and yes the woodzeez and tiny foods are very cute...loved the packaging on the food. Thanks for stopping by! Sandi

  4. I have never seen so many doll shoes before; what a great diorama! I hope an unsupervised child NEVER gets into it!I can't imagine folding all those boxes. I made a few grocery bags for my 1:12 dolls and folded grocery bag paper around a wooden block, glued with gluestick--but boxes are a LOT more work!

    1. LOL...the unsurpervised child is 73, arthritic and clutzy...LOL. The boxes were a three night task again cuz of clutzy and arthritic. I cheat and buy simple paper mini bags and cut them down or change their handles. Yes, the tiny work is for agile fingers...the block idea is great! Thanks for visiting! Sandi
