Chelsea and Scooter are having a hard time, deciding on Pumpkins.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Auntie Chris, cousin Alan and Skipper can't decide either.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Chelsea is sure she can't lift one of the really big ones.

"Pumpkin farms aren't just for kids," Shaggy winks at Sandi and Karen, who are seniors.

Channel 7's Teresa is interviewing Erin Gilbert.

Teresa: Erin Gilbert, what is the history of this farm?
Erin: Well, we are fourth generation family farmers. This farm was established in 1849 originally raising crops. Then it was a dairy farm during my great-grandfather's time. We've been raising crops and garden produce for the last 19 years.

Teresa: So, the Pumpkin farm is still a family affair.
Ms.Gilbert: Yes, I grew up running the check-out counter. My brother Eric is running that now. I'm in charge of tour groups and advertising. We really appreciate Channel 7 coming out and seeing what we are doing!

Aidan, the camera man, waves. "Okay I want to get some shots of the produce and your garden center."

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Teresa: Gilbert's Farm isn't just about pumpkins. They have produce and a garden center all year round. Erin, can you tell us about your food offerings?

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Erin:We provide local small businesses the opportunity to sell their products here.We have locally bottle sodas and sparkling juice, our own organic grown popcorn,Orchard Pies from down the road, and vegan and organic baked goods from Sindy's Catering. Her apple cider donuts are the best!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Ian:Great let's go take some more photos in the pumpkin patch. And, Sindy's are the best---I wish she had more time to bake at our house.

Back in the pumpkin patch...
Scooter: I'm stuck in this wagon!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Scooter: I'm stuck, but, I want this pumpkin!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Teresa: I have Chelsea and Skipper here. What is the best thing about the farm?
Chelsea: I had fun in the corn maze...the corn was so high. I liked the pony ride, too.
Skipper: We just moved from California, and I really like the apple orchard and the pumpkin patch. It's a big change from sand and ocean, but fun!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Ian: Great! Let's get some more shots of the visitors.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Aidan and Alana, came out with Nicky and Jeffrey. They are having a great time.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Nicky: This place is fabulous, I need a really big pumpkin for work. We're having a contest. How's your pumpkin spice coffee concoction?
Jeffrey: Pretty tasty, I have to get another donut.

Barbieoldnewgreenredo

Vivian and Vince are waiting in line to check out.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Teresa: How was your day at the pumpkin farm?
Karen: Well, we walked the corn maze for too long. But, it has been a beautiful day and the farm is really just like a remember as a kid. We are going to pick up a bushel of apples for a pie, and of course some pumpkins.
Celeste: Shaggy and I came all the way out here for the corn maze...it was a challenge, the corn is so high this year!
Teresa: Thank you for the interviews, now back to the studio from the Gilbert's Pumpkin Farm.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Nicky: I'm bushed. What are Alana and Aidan doing.
Jeffrey: I think she is buying out the store.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Aidan: Alana, the sun is going down. What else do you want?
Alana: Just two of those donuts, coffee, and that big pumpkin, and a gourd, maybe this cute orange tin pot.

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Eric: Thanks for visiting Gilbert's. (Big Smile)
Aidan: Yea sure, the donuts are really good though, can I get those in a bag to go?
Eric: Sure! Here ya are, for sure!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Nicky: Jeff, we're ready...!

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Jeffrey: Hey Aidan, at least you dont' have one of these huge pumpkins!
Nicky: They are pretty heavy. How far is the car?

barbieoldnewgreenredo

Six blocks is a long, long way. Too far, after a day at Gilbert's!

Cast: Huge--all dolls are Rescued except for Happy Family Grandma-purchased, and Alan (anniversary re-issue)-I won as a prize. Clothing mostly vintage, or handmade, a few purchased pieces. Teresa's outfit is a Mattel Wonder Woman Barbie dress and jacket. Really too cute. Nicky wears a recent Mario jacket, again a cute piece. I didn't show the back, sigh. Alana is in Sparkle pants and the 'Mt.Climber shirt'. Grandma Sandi wears a home sewn suede coat and pants from a vintage pattern.
Any other questions, I'll be happy to try and answer. Some pieces may not be Barbie's or family's at all?
